The Hospital ministry is made up of dedicated people who visit parishioners from St. Walter Church at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village. Our purpose is to visit our parishioners so they know that they are being thought of, prayed for and not forgotten. A visit usually consists of a short conversation and praying together.

The ministers check if the hospitalized parishioners would like to have their name put on the prayer list read at Mass or in the bulletin. The parishioner may request one of our parish priests to visit. We relay the message to the staff at St. Walter Church.

A visit normally lasts about ten or fifteen minutes. This is a small ministry that has been very well accepted by patients and their families.
