The Bereavement Ministry of St. Walter Parish assists the bereaved families by preparing the church; seating the family and guiding them throughout the Funeral/Memorial Mass. Their goal is to serve the family in making the Mass a special celebration of their deceased loved one. As a part of St. Walter’s Bereavement, Volunteer Ministers need a flexible schedule as they are called year round.

The Bereavement Associate’s duties include grief support and aiding families during the preparation and funeral. Weekly and monthly grief support groups are available year round. Quarterly Masses of Remembrance and an All Soul’s Day Mass are offered to bereaved families in memory of their deceased loved ones.
