Boys and Girls in Grades 5 – 8 may sign up to assist the priests at the celebration of the Eucharist on weekends and weekdays. They also help with such liturgies as weddings, funerals and Holy Week services.
In order to become an altar server, one must be an active participant in the Children’s Faith Formation or a St. Walter School student, be a responsible person, attend periodic meetings, adhere to the Mass schedule, and have received the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Eucharist.
