St. Walter Parish has a 65-year history of faithful, dedicated parishioners who have generously contributed their time, talents and financial support to build a vibrant Catholic Community of Faith on the northern boundary of the Diocese of Joliet. It has grown from a small rural Mission Church of about 50 families to a large suburban parish serving over 3,800 registered families. These thousands of parishioners, along with the many priests, sisters, brothers, deacons and seminarians who have served the people of St. Walter Parish through the years, have truly been a wonderful example of what it means to be Church, the Body of Christ.
